Cashsense was incorporated in the Philippines in 2006 as the payment processing division of an international technology company. eWallet software was further developed and remittance services for OFWs were rolled out.

Cashsense continues to invest heavily in technology, and in early 2010 launched a much enhanced payment processing platform together with improved cashier services. Simultaneously, a new website was introduced, designed to cater not only to the needs of online remitters worldwide but also to the increasing demand domestically for payroll and merchant services.

Cashsense is a modern and efficient facilitator of cash-based transactions. With credit card penetration in the Philippines standing at less than six percent (industry estimate), an alternative, efficient and inexpensive cash-based solution was initiated to help online merchants increase sales.
