General Mariano Trias

Patriot, soldier, statesman, son of Balbino Trias and Gabriela Closas. Member KKK, 1896. Headed the revolutionary movement in San Francisco de Malabon, 1896. Minister of Grace and Justice, Magdiwang Government, 1896. Vice-President, Revolutionary Government, 1898, Lt. Gen., Philippine Revolution, 1899. First civil governor, Cavite, 1901-1905. Act 2889 named this municipality after him, 1920. Died 23 January 1914.
