Plaza Mabini is a Registered Property, City of Batangas, Batangas located at Batangas City, Batangas, Region IV-A.
The space fronting the church of Batangas was a remarkable open space in 1900. The Municipal Hall was yet to be constructed. The former Provincial Capitol is visible as is the kiosk at the center of the plaza, then called Plaza de EspaƱa during the Spanish Colonial Period.
The name was changed to Plaza de la Independencia with the demise of Spanish Colonization and the establishment of a Philippine Revolutionary Government in 1898.
The Plaza de la Independencia became Plaza Rizal.
On July 25, 1915, the space acquired the present designation, Plaza Mabini.
