Morong High School Building

Morong High School Building is a Marked Structure, NHCP located at Morong, Rizal, Region IV-A.

Rizal Polytechnic College was first established as Morong High School on August 16, 1944. It was converted into Morong National High School on August 20, 1976 and to Morong National Comprehensive School on March 30, 1977. With the integration of Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School, it was converted into Morong National Comprehensive School, later renamed Rizal Technological and Polytechnic Institute on August 10, 1983 through Batas Pambansa 469. Morong High School Building

Constructed by forced labor, 1881-1883, under the direction of Captain Mauricio Mata Cruz. Became the capitol of the Gobierno Politico-Militar of the Distrito de Morong, 1884-1896. Taken over by the revolutionists, 1899; by the american forces, 1901; by the japanese 1942-1944; by the Morong High School, 1945.
