Rizal Monument Biñan

Rizal Monument Biñan is a Local Cultural Property - Local Heritage Site, City of Biñan; Registered Property, City of Biñan, Laguna located at Biñan City, Laguna, Region IV-A.

Constructed during the term of Mayor Agustin Gana. In honor of Gat Jose P. Rizal, a Laguna descent, his monument was built in the center of the town plaza. This is the second largest monument of the hero across the country. The largest is in Luneta. Ended on May 14, 1918 during the term of Mayor Agustin Gana, led by Mr. Jose M. Rizal, a relative of our hero, the construction of the monument of the Great Freedom. Here spend coffers of P4,000. Fence gate on December 29, 1950 during the term of Mayor Batista. It was a debt from Mayor Garcia who also solicited the subsidy and he supervised the fencing. Jose Rizal's statue (by Guillermo Tolentino -National Artist) is located at the center of the town plaza, surrounded by the Church, City Hall, Multi-purpose covered court, commercial establishments and the historical Alberto House. Rizal statue was replaced due to lightning in September 23, 2015.
