Ylagan-de la Rosa Heritage House is a Heritage House, NHCP; Registered Property, Province of Batangas located at Taal, Batangas, Region IV-A.

DECLARING THE YLAGAN-DE LA ROSA ANCESTRAL HOUSE IN TAAL, BATANGAS AS A HERITAGE HOUSE
WHEREAS, the Constitution of the Philippines provides that ‘The State shall promote and popularize the nation’s historical and cultural heritage and resources”;
WHEREAS, Presidential Decree No. 260, dated August 1, 1973, specifically vested the National Historical Institute, a cultural agency attached to the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, with the power to declare historical and cultural sites and structures;
WHEREAS, the house, restored in 1997, rejects the design and architecture typical of old houses in Taal, with its thick adobe walls on the ground floor, century-old harigues and wooden panels on the second floor, detailed woodwork, meticulously executed capiz shell windows, hardwood floors, high ceilings, carved wooden balusters, and period furnishings;
WHEREAS, the Ylagan-de la Rosa Ancestral House serves as an ideal model of restoration and an excellent example of adaptive re-use of a centuries-old house in today’s modem setting, through the efforts and initiative of the homeowners.
NOW, THEREFORE, the National Historical Institute, by virtue of the powers vested in it by Presidential Decree No. 260, hereby declared the YLAGAN-DE LA ROSA ANCESTRAL HOUSE in Taal, Batangas, a Heritage House.

Ylagan-De La Rosa Ancestral House
This heritage house of the Ylagan-de la Rosa Family is registered with the National Historical Institute, pursuant to NHI Board Resolution No. 9, s. 1998.

The Ylagan residence is one of the ancient domiciles lining the main road of Marcela Agoncillo Street in Taal. It is a simple structure and is geometric in style. The house can be considered to have been built between the middle to the later part of the nineteenth century. The house was owned by Camilo Noble Ylagan, the appointed Municipal President of Taal in 1990. The house is presently owned by his heirs.
