Gumaca Presidencia

Gumaca Presidencia is a Local Cultural Property - Historical Structure and Important Cultural Property, Gumaca, Quezon (per Kapasiyahan Blg. 357-2019); Registered Property, Municipality of Gumaca, Quezon located at Gumaca, Quezon, Region IV-A.

The Gumaca-type presidencia, was the standard plan of the Bureau of Public Works for municipal halls. now known as the “Gumaca” type of presidencia building A two-story structure, the ground floor is made of concrete and measures 8.60 meters by 18.30 meters while the second floor is built of wood and measures 10.30 meters by 20.0 meters.
Designed by renowned architect Tomas Mapua, the first of its kind was built for the municipality of Gumaca in 1922 at the cost of P31,723.12.
The seat of local governance is situated where the casa tribunal used to stand. The present building underwent several renovation, the last and present one has expanded office space and modernize facilities. the inner Lobby contains the complete list of the town’s chief executives since 1582 and photo gallery of the same for the last 100 years. With the impressive Lobby, mini waterfalls and lush garden, the municipio is a source of pride and among the residents and is now considered the benchmark with others are compared.
