Barasoain Church Replica
Replica of the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan, the seat of the Philippine Revolutionary Congress which convened from September 15, 1898 to the last week of February 1899 under the presidency of Pedro A. Paterno. The drafting of the Malolos Constitution and the inauguration of the Philippine Republic on January 23, 1899. The first constitutional democracy in Asia, took place in this church.
Formally inaugurated by Their Majesties Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain, and His Excellency President Fidel V. Ramos and the First Lady Amelita M. Ramos on February 13, 1998, in commemoration of the Philippine Revolution and the Declaration of Philippine Independence.
