Built in 1932 in honor of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Though erected in the 1930s, the statue, done by Fidel Araneta, was only put up in 1954. Fronting this monument is a stone Liberation marker showing the first elected officials in the town after the World War II.
