Considered as one of the world’s most unique monument of Jose Rizal, it was an obra of Miguel Alcazar, a native of Catbalogan. A bust of the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, is on top of two novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo serving as the base. Holding up the books with the bust are three muscular men who are all naked except for a leaf that covers their genital areas. The three naked men were patterned from him and two of his closest friends. These three sculptures represent the three major islands in the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
