Eduardo L. Joson Monument

Eduardo L. Joson Monument is a Registered Property, Province of Nueva Ecija located at Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, Region III.

The transfer of the Provincial Capitol from Cabanatuan City to Palayan City was the ultimate dream of the late governor Eduardo L. Joson ever since the Palayan City was declared as the new Capital of the Province by virtue of R..A. 4465 on June 1965.
Eduardo L. Joson (1919-1990) was a captain of Filipino guerillas during the Japanaese occupation of the Philippines during world war II. He later became the governor of the Province of Nueva Ecija from 1959 to 1992, making him the second longest serving politician serving one government position in the Philippines for a span of 33 years.
