Tanglagan Falls

Tanglagan Falls is a Registered Property, Province of Cagayan located at Gattaran, Cagayan, Region II.

The Tanglagan falls located in the remotest eastern part of Gattaran is surrounded by trees and rocks and boulders along the way to the falls. Barangay Tanglagan is more or less Thirty Nine (39) kilometers away from the Poblacion with a travel time of more or less two (2) hours depending on the kind of weather, or on the vehicle used. There are two (2) routes going to the place. First, you pass by 23 small lakes using logging truck while the second is the short cut passing along a pavement road which is faster and safer.
Experience a natural breeze from cool waters of this three-layer natural spring towering at about 103 meters unadulterated cold and refreshing water flowing from the foot of the verdant Sierra Madre Mountain. While gazing at the beautiful scenery, you can hear the sound of clear water flowing from the river, chirping of birds and sweet melody of cicadas and flying dragon flies and butterflies around the forest.
Based on the information and data gathered, Tanglagan falls was discovered by the Aetas. During that time, the Aetas were living in a forest. Women work inside their house while men hunt food. While looking for food they heard a sizzling sound of water and there they discovered the falls which is now called “Tanglagan Falls”.
