The Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia is an archdiocese of the Catholic Church in the Philippines. It covers the province of Ilocos Sur, on the island of Luzon. The see of the archdiocese is the city of Vigan.
The archdiocese was erected in 1595 in the city of Nueva Segovia (modern-day Lal-lo, Cagayan). The see was moved in 1758 to Vigan because of its relative distance, at the request of Bishop Juan de la Fuente Yepes, during the pontificate of Benedict XIV. It became an archdiocese in 1951.

Lalloc–Nueva Segovia
The town of Lalloc, named Nueva Segovia by Juan Pablo Carrion in 1581, was visited by Juan Salcedo in 1572 and by Luis Perez Dasmariñas in 1592. Lalloc was the seat of the Diocese of Nueva Segovia, created by Pope Clement VIII on August 15, 1595, and continued to be so up to 1755, when it was transferred to Vigan. It was the capital of Cagayan up to 1839, when the provincial government was moved to Tuguegarao.

Lalloc–Tocolana
Site of the former Church of Tocolana. In former times Lalloc had three parishes: The parish of the Cathedral was served by the secular clergy up to 1788, the parish of Bagumbayan was entrusted to the Dominicans by Bishop Diego de Soria in 1613, and the parish of Tocolana was completely administered by the Dominicans. In the Dominican Hospital of Tocolana, the Rev. Francisco de Capillas, O.P. ministered to the spiritual and corporal needs of the natives of Cagayan.
