Chinese Commercial Building of the late Alberto Yap is a Registered Property, Province of Cagayan located at Tuao, Cagayan, Region II.
The building was built by the clan Patriarch, Alberto Yap who has a Chinese name “Gonzano” estimated in the period 1930’3 to 40’s, as a commercial building that has 6 partition space or doors meant for lease. It was passed to his son, Guillermo who bought the building from him at a minimal amount just so the old man will have money for his medical needs. The present owner, Henry Yap, in turn bought the property from his father Guillermo. Both Alberto Yap and Guillermo Yap are immigrants from Emoy, mainland China while Henry and his siblings were born in Tuao. The third generation of the clan are the one’s who make alterations in the building. Cement walls, flooring and staircase were built inside the structure and the cement flooring was raised twice.
