The Colono Marker unveiled in 1964 as main highlight of the town’s Golden Anniversary. Conceptualized, designed, and sculptured by the son of Don Tranquilino B. Ruiz, Luis Y. Ruiz, who was a painter and a sculptor. The marker serves as the landmark of the pioneering batch of Colony No.9 composed of 16 families from Cebu who landed in Glan on October 8, 1914.
