The church of Iglesia Filipina Independiente is located south of the Rizal Park. It was founded by Don Andres Azura Atega in 1903 and considered one of the oldest churches in the province. Also in the year 1903 Monsignor Felipe Montemar was appointed as the first priest. The Iglesia Filipina Independiente and the Roman Catholic church became a parish in the same year. It is also one of the 201 IFI churches worldwide.
