The history of the Cabadbaran City Library and Information Center goes back to the decade of the seventies. the Sangguniang Bayan on September 22, 1992 passed a resolution No. 37-92 requesting the Chief of Public Libraries Division in the National Library to recognize and accredit the Cabadbaran Municipal Library and Information Center. This was followed by another resolution No. 37-93 stating the application for the municipal library with the petition to the Director of the National Library that Cabadbaran be authorized to recognize, establish and operate a municipal library. The petition was granted on September 13, 1994.
