One folklore tells the story of a tribesman who met a princess in his dream. The princess introduced herself as "Miyaya." She lives in the lush forest of Dapongpong. The princess told the tribesman that there is a magnificent waterfalls northeast of the village of Mapawa. In exchange for her revelation, she begged the tribesman to name the waterfalls after her once it is found.
