Salapan Elementary School was a non-central school established in 1971. It is located near the San Juan River. It was named Salapan because it was once noted to have plenty of fish called “lapan” while the people used their fishing net or their so called “ Salapang” to catch them. Eventually, the name Salapang evolved and has been given the recent name Salapan.
