Pineda Rice Mill

Pineda Rice Mill is a Registered Property, Municipality of Cabarroguis, Quirino located at Cabarroguis, Quirino, Region II.

The structure is approximately 80% covered with different types of hard wood along with its pillar (Paranapin, Narra, Red Lawaan). While the roof and the left side of the mill is being covered with galvanized iron, its base and floor were made of concrete cement. The two (2) doors found on both sides of the mill serving as the main entrance were sliding wooden panels made of Narra, and at the topmost of it was a uniquely designed wood carvings also made up of Narra. Upon entering at the left entrance of the building, a 9-step wooden staircase can be seen leading to its mezzanine where old funnels and old wooden trays or bandeha (used for mixing corn before milling) are located. The mezzanine also serves as the storage area for several sacks of rice and corn. The six (6) milling machines are properly mounted inside the rice mill. The old second-decked small house of the owner which has a measurement of approximately 24m² (4mx6m) lies at the end part inside the building. A 9-step staircase leads to the second deck which served as bedroom with a wall made of Narra and a floor made of bamboo.
