The Alingag spring is located below the village of Alingag. The waters come from the mountains above the said village. It served as the water source for the community since time immemorial.
A long time ago according to the elders, the first waters of the spring came out near the root of the big “tuwol” tree. Then eventually, the waters came out on the earth beside the said tree. The villagers then stuck bamboo where the waters came out to serve as the indigenous faucet. The water is said to be warm during dawn or when the climate is cold and magically turns cold during daytime when the climate is warm. The waters continually flowed and became the communal area where the villagers wash their pots and dishes, do their laundry and fetch their drinking water.
