The Jimenez Residence was originally built by Don Delfin Macanaya, a wealthy forester Spanish at the turn of the century and was the only house in Aparri that survived the bombings of Japanese strongholds by American forces, during the liberation of the Philippines in World War II. In 1975, Atty. and Mrs. Bienvenido Jimenez bought the house and made great efforts to strengthen while preserving the unique features of the house.
