Holy Guardian Angels ParishHoly Guardian Angels Parish is a Registered Property, Municipality of Santo Tomas, La Union located at Santo Tomas, La Union, Region I.
The church's structure had undergone several constructions. The first one was a chapel erected after its emancipation from Agoo in 1785. It was developed gradually into a sturdier and bigger structure built of solid stones right after its erection. Existing historical records tell that Fray Manuel Fog, OSA, pastor from 1884-1886 once reconstructed the first solid church and convento. But due to terrible earthquake that devastated the province in 1892, the church collapsed and had completely ruined its said convento. Thus, the reconstruction of the new church began and was completed by P. Baldomeo Amanz, a Filipino priest. The church was made of woods. The same priest also built a two-storey stone convento at the same spot of the old one. There were three edifices to be erected in this site. Until now, the foundations and walls of the solid church and convento are still standing.
