Gabaldon Building

Gabaldon Building is a Registered Property, Municipality of Rosario, La Union located at Rosario, La Union, Region I.

The Gabaldon Building in Rosario, La Union is located in Rosario Integrated School, which used to be called Rosario Elementary School. According to word of mouth, it was built during the 1930’s. It also served as a Principal’s Office.

The Gabaldon School Buildings were built across the country from 1907 to 1946. The school buildings showed that education was one of the objectives of the American when they came to the Philippines. Isauro Gabaldon was the man behind Gabaldon School houses. He authored the law that led to the construction of school buildings in different parts of the country when he was an assembly man. It became a law under Act No. 1801 and it is popularly known as Gabaldon Act of 1907.

The school buildings were later called the Gabadon School Houses or simply Gabaldons. It is said to be one of the oldest public school buildings in the Philippines which was built during the 1930's.
