Balay Dingras and Rice Museum

Balay Dingras and Rice Museum is a Registered Property, Municipality of Dingras, Ilocos Norte located at Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Region I.

Balay Dingras is a product of Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos' knowledge on how to make good use of old derelicts to promote the province's tourism industry. The Governor recently led the opening of the newly renovated Josefa Llanes Escoda Hall, which has long been previously used as venue for official social gatherings.

The renovation of the Josefa Llanes Escoda Hall to a grandiose native house (which we locally call "balay") is a partnership between the provincial government of Ilocos Norte and the municipal government of Dingras. Governor Imee wished the hall should be developed to showcase the traditional contents of a native Dingrenio home. The house, situated at the heart of the town is readily accessible to travelers and tourists being strategically erected just along the national highway.
