The Iglesia Catolica dela Hacienda De San Antonio was constructed under the direction of the Director of Compania Tabacalera en Barcelona - D. Antonio Correa as a house of worship for hacienda tenants and their family during the Spanish colonial period. The 2nd church, reconstructed in 1976 under the direction of the President-Director of Compania Tabacalera en Barcelona - D. Manuel Meler Urchaga, was built with no steel reinforcement. A separate bell tower was situated beside the church. The present church, constructed after the 2nd church was severely damaged by a typhoon in 1998, is made of galvanized iron, concrete, bricks, steel, timber with gold leafing architectural design in its interior.
