Jose Rizal National Monument Daet | First Rizal Monument is a National Monument, NHCP; Registered Property, Province of Camarines Norte located at Daet, Camarines Norte, Region V.

Daet, the capital town of Camarines Norte, holds the distinction of being the site pf the first monument built in honor of the greatest Filipino hero, Dr, Jose P. Rizal. The construction of this monument was initiated by Lt. Col. Antonio Sanz and Lt. Col. Ildefonso Alegre of the Philippines Revolutionary Army in 1898. The unveiling of the monument took place on December 30, 1898, exactly two years after the execution of Rizal by musketry in Bagumbayan.
It is a three-tiered stone pylon with its squares base supporting a triangle in two stages, the last one tapering off to a point. Built in 1898, the First Monument of Rizal in the World. Its foundation, it is believed, is made of mortars and boulders from the demolished Old Spanish Jail in Daet where many patriots died, making it historically and cultrally significant.
