Hoyop-Hoyopan CaveHoyop-Hoyopan Cave is a Registered Property, Municipality of Camalig, Albay located at Camalig, Albay, Region V.
Approximately 10 kilometers from the town proper, Hoyop-hoyopan is a multi-level cavern of natural limestone in the village of Cotmon. Its name comes from the Bikol word “hoyop” which means “to blow” and aptly describes the cool, soft, murmuring winds that blow thorough its labyrinthine passageways inside. Potteries, human bones, beadwork and artifacts believed to be 4,000 years old have been unearthed from these caves which are now displayed at the church museum. The small figurines or anitos found in the cave revealed that local ancestors used the cave as their worship place.
