Nilo Bautista Home is a Registered Property, Municipality of Taal, Batangas located at Taal, Batangas, Region IV-A.
The house is located at Barangay Poblacion Zone 2. Adela Bautista gifted it to her son, Lino Bautista. Later on, it was passed to his son Nilo Bautista. It is their residential house and three generations have already occupied the house. The owner Nilo Bautista is a collector of various antiques including one of Jose Rizal's typewriters, old wine bottles that are not in circulation anymore, and a 150-year-old kulintang from Mindanao that was once brought to America and was also brought back to the Philippines. The house is also used as a shooting location for telenovelas and TV commercials.
Mulawin wood and bamboo are used in building the house. The ceiling of the house is still the same. The owner claims that the house was built after the Taal church was constructed. This might be one of the first houses built during the Spanish colonial period. The four main posts of the house are made of Munlawin. The owner also claims that only two houses in Taal have this features. The other one is the Pastor's residence in Batangas City. The outdoor staircase in front of the house is made of "tisa" from Vigan. The house is well kept and was almost unaltered.
The windows of the house was originally "sasa" and was later changed into "capiz" between 1993 and 1994.
The owner claims that the house was built after the Taal Church was constructed.
