People's Park in the Sky | Heneral Nicolas Gonzales at Lantin Marker is a Marked Structure, NHCP; Registered Property, City of Tagaytay, Cavite located at Tagaytay City, Batangas, Region IV-A.
Construction of the mansion was hastened when US President Ronald Reagan announced his intention to visit the Philippines in November 1983. Work stopped when Reagan cancelled his visit." People’s Park in the Sky was built during the Marcos era to host the visit of US President Ronald Reagan. Marcos was ''a hero on a bubble-gum card he had collected as a kid.'' American officials supported Marcos - until Aug. 21, 1983.
The Shrine of Our Lady, Mother of Fair Love is located within the People's Park in the Sky. The shrine was installed on December 15, 1974 with the installation of the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the child Jesus by Hernan D. Reyes, aided by four high school students and two workers. During the construction of the Palace in the Sky in 1981, workers were unable to blast a huge rock containing the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary with several dynamite blasts. The rock was left intact, after the discovery of the image.
A Doppler weather radar station maintained by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is also within the park.
A mini theatre is present in the facility where some cultural groups perform.

Heneral Nicolas Gonzales at Lantin
Isinilang sa Tanauan, Batangas, ika-5 ng Disyembre 1859. Anak nina Eusebio Gonzales at Leocadia Lantin. Nagtapos sa Kolehiyo ng San Juan de Letran at nag-aral sa Pamantasan ng Santo Tomas. Nahalal na gobernandor ng Tanauan, 1894–1897; namuno bilang koronel sa Batalyon Makiling sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ni Heneral Miguel Malvar. Nakasama nina Heneral Juan Cailles at Heneral Pio del Pilar sa pangkat ng mga manghihimagsik na nagwagi sa Lipa, Batangas, at sa Santa Cruz, Laguna. Nataas sa tungkuling brigadyer, 1901; naging gobernador ng Batangas, ika-16 ng Oktubre 1916 hanggang ika-31 ng Oktubre 1919. Tinaguriang Bundok ng Gonzales ng mga Amerikano ang pook ng Banawan bilang alaala sa kanyang pagkahimpil doon. Namatay sa Tanauan, Batangas, ika-5 ng Hulyo 1923.
