We are an online handicrafts store that offers handmade products like macrame, native bags, and other local handicrafts.

Homemaker and founder Mary Sanglap’s venture sprung from a different passion: gardening. Wanting to add more greenery in her home and exposing her two sons to nature, she bought and grew floras ranging from succulents, cactuses, and indoor plants. It was when she was browsing the internet for a plant hanger did she discover the art form of macramé. She researched online and found a plethora of crafts made from these knotted ropes. She began making macramé wall-hanging decors and plant holders. Then she got the idea of implementing her wall-hanging designs into traditional bayongs hand-weaved from Laguna and dubbed them Macra-Bayong (Macramé + Bayong).

Each design of Macra-Bayong was named after the attributes of a Filipina: Maaruga, Masinop, Mahinhin, Mayumi, Malambing, Mapagmahal, etc.

Seeing this as an opportunity to help others, she trained women from her community and provided them additional income. Each product displayed the creativeness and passion naturally possessed by all women and empowered them by raising their confidence in their own selves through tapping to their artistic talents and being able to help their families.

Their products range from macramé wall-hanging designs, knotty Christmas tree, water bottle holders, plant holders, macramé earrings, and bags.
