The Basud Development Cooperative, originally named Basud Credit Union, Inc. in 1967 started with 25 members and P180.00 paid-up capital. To date, BADEVCO is the leading coop in the province with 5,360 members and P 23,449,097.34 paid-up capital. With a total assets of P 111,007,301.24. (as of December 31, 2006.) Its initial membership was confined to salaried employees. Fulfilling its obligatory role as a community based financial institution, BADEVCO reached out to marginalized sectors accepting farmers and agricultural workers as members of cooperative.
