AMORA Couturier is a brand, named after Andi Amora, a fashion designer based in Davao city, Philippines. Her ambition and interest in Fashion Design ignited from the encouraging words of her sisterAna Karina Amora-Tanabe, during her grade school years, as she had her first sketch of a woman in a visionary dress. In 2004, she was appointed as an apprentice at her sister’s fashion house, “SAKAS fashion Boutique”while studying High School, where she developed her eye for fashion and her skills. In 2006, she took upa course in Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Fashion Design at the Helena Z. Benitez School of Fine Arts and Design, Philippine Women’s College of Davao and got her degree in 2010. After college, she became an apprentice for 3 years at Emi Englis Luxe Couture House owned by her former fashion instructor, then mentor, Emi Englis. After her extensive training as an apprentice, she began working on her own brand, as the seamstress of her own collections and custom made apparels. Today, she’s constantly working on project basis along with her friend, Frances Tendencia, a fashion stylist, make-up artist and an Interior designer on events, fashion shows, photo shoots and fashion styling. AMORA Couturier specializes in women’s evening wear as well as men’s tailored suits for different body types and age. This is a costume made fashion house that makes wellfitted clothing exclusively for its client’s measurements.
