With the vision of providing the community a drug-free environment, ST. ANDREW DRUG SCREENING LABORATORY has been put to establishment in 1997.

The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), which is the government agency that has the authority to grant license to drug testing laboratories then, permitted ST. ANDREW DRUG SCREENING LABORATORY to perform solely drug screening procedures in the late 1997, from which it was classified as a CLASS D Laboratory. However due to the amended DDB Board Regulation with regards to the Classification of Laboratories, the laboratory has been classified as CLASS C Drug Screening Laboratory, which is but the same as the former classification as far as the authority of operations is concerned. It was only in March 2001 that the management decided to upgrade to CLASS B Confirmatory Laboratory is authorized to perform the final confirmatory assays fro urine specimens that have positive findings on the screening tests, ST. ANDREW DRUG SCREENING LABORATORY acquired its license to operate as CLASS B Laboratory on May 17,2001.

A NEURO-PSYCHIATRIC DIVISION, however, was incorporated to the laboratory section of the CAMP Crame Branch office when it was put up in 1999. Hence, the laboratory acquired its accreditation form the NEURO-PSYCHIATRIC ACCREDIATION COMMITTEE (NPAC) of the PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP) allowing ST. ANDREW to conduct Nuero-Psychiatric evaluation to Security Guards, Firearm License and Permit-to-Carry firearms.

In addition to the recognition given by the Dangerous Drugs Board to operate as a drug-testing center, ST. ANDREW DRUG SCREENING LABORATORY has also acquired an accreditation from the Land Transportation Office (LTO). This distinction enabled the laboratory to conduct drug-testing services to Driver’s License holders. This made ST. ANDREW to be more capable of rendering its services not only to the NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR) and the nearby areas but to the whole Philippine Island as well. Though, ST. ANDREW LABS. LTO accredited affiliates. Being the “Mother Laboratory” of almost 50 affiliated laboratories nationwide, the ease of arriving at the ‘almost not possible to reach places’ is now made possible.

A year after, St. Andrew Drug Screening Laboratory –main office set up a SECONDARY CLINICAL LABORATORY, as issued by the Department of Health (DOH), POEA and PCAHO Accreditation. Thus, being a secondary clinical laboratory leads for a better way of rendering service to a wider array of clientele. Catering services to OFW’s, both for the Land Based ones and Seafarers, the laboratory serves as a medical-clinical one with the following sections:
Medical Unit Clinical Unit
Dental Unit X-ray Unit
Optometry Unit ECG Unit

Since it was established, the laboratory continuously offer highly competitive services, which is at par with the long-established laboratories by maintaining a fully-equipped laboratory, fast-pacing manpower to meet the aim of “keeping an above-standard services for its clientele’s satisfaction, with an intact credibility and integrity!”

For ANNUAL PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS, we have a MEDICAL TEAM that can conduct ON-SITE SERVICE in order to provide accessibility to employees’ workplace. The methods that we employ involve accepted and the validated procedures for every parameter of test that we are offering. The processing of our results is fast and reliable.





For economic reasons St. Andrew decided to shut down its Clinical Laboratory and concentrated on where it first began, Neuro Testing Center and the Drug Screening Laboratory.

The validity, credibility and reliability of our results is acknowledged by the DOH and Philippine Overseas Employment Agency, Philippine National Police (PNP), as well as the Land Transportation Office (LTO), respectively, and therefore, can be used for purposes like pre-employment, renewal of licenses for security guards and drivers, and for the acquisition of other important documents.
