Bangko Pasig (Rural Bank) was incorporated in July 1996. It primarily caters to the market vendors selling at the Mutya ng Pasig Public Market. Such target market has been in line with the bank's main intent to give these hard-working yet ignored and overlooked sector of society, easier and cheaper funding sources. The Bank, being partial to the food sector, also lends to caterers and canteen concessionaires.
The bank has always been in a very liquid position, with its capital readily covering for about 300% of its deposit liabilities. Over the years, it has prided itself to be debt free, and able to conduct its business activities with honesty and integrity.
